Morgan & Andy // Vintage Catskills Wedding Photographer

Morgan & Andy's intimate wedding weekend in the Catskills sits at the top of my list for very favorite weddings of 2015. I knew it was going to be something special during my very first phone call with Morgan, when she proposed that I stay with her and Andy and a small group of their closest friends in the cabin they would be renting for that weekend. From the moment I arrived on Friday evening, I was welcomed into their beautiful pack, and it wasn't lost on me that unlike many other weddings I've been a part of, a total lack of cell phone service seemed to root myself and others so squarely in the moments we found ourselves in. For this reason and so many more, the small gathering of friends and family I was able to know were so beautifully present all throughout the day. It was such a joy to see how Morgan & Andy kept the wedding traditions that made sense to them and gracefully did away with those that didn't, walking hand in hand down the isle of a gorgeous little church towards Andy's mother, who officiated their ceremony. Afterwards, we made our way through foggy backroads on a bus full of happy loved ones, laughing and singing along to First Aid Kit and other gems that seemed beautifully well-suited to the rolling hills we drove through, eventually arriving in a lovely, sleepy town and sharing one of the most amazing meals I've ever had with the lovely new friends I had made. Thank you so much, M&A, for inviting me along and welcoming me into your lives with such open hearts and minds. Yours was a weekend I am so grateful for and will absolutely never forget.
