For destination wedding weekends like Courtney & Robert's, I often give my couples the option to sneak away from festivities for an engagement-style photo session. It's a great way to take advantage of beautiful landscapes that you might not otherwise have the time or energy to access on your wedding day. And selfishly, it's an amazing chance for me to spend some time alone with a couple before the hustle and bustle of their big day. After Courtney & Rob's rehearsal dinner, we climbed up into the meadows and mountains that overlook the town of Park City, Utah. The late afternoon was cooling into a beautiful evening, and as we wandered around, I took turns between chatting with them so that we could all know each other better, learning about the next day's plans and the quirks and traits of their families and friends, and giving them some time and space to sink into each other for some intimate, photo-worthy moments. I absolutely love these sessions because they set an amazing tone and energy for the wedding day that follows, and this day-before session is one of my favorites to date.
